About this deal

We take intellectual property concerns very seriously, but many of these problems can be resolved directly by the parties involved. Using an already thought of, named activity in a jar helps your child through the process of identifying that they need help from you and then practising asking for it. Kids, parents, and educators will enjoy the games and cards at home, at school, at childcare, in the office, while traveling, at parties, in youth groups, and at camp. It helps younger children to relate them to colours, and referring back to their colourful jar full of wonderful emotions! Turning off the personalised advertising setting won’t stop you from seeing Etsy ads, but it may make the ads you see less relevant or more repetitive.

Times of uncertainty can bring up a lot of feelings for grieving children, but also for us as adults. Although we know that it is actually as a result of an accumulation of feelings through the day, when the meltdown happens, we don’t really know how to move our children forward! Everyone tries to bottle things up and this book really opens up how it's okay to feel but also okay to feel overwhelmed by those feelings at times to. For example, the color red may represent anger and the color blue may represent feelings of sadness.

Each emotion has its own color -- black for scared, pink for joy, red for anger, yellow for excited. Children can think about how they've felt each day and place the shape into the jar which best describes their emotions. Some children do very well with an image of the exact thing rather than a picture representing the activity.

This complexity has many of use asking: what is one to do in the face of a news cycle – or life – that brings a never-ending stream of hardships and heartbreak? Favourite activities like reading a book or listening to your favourite song redirect negative feelings and give your child a chance to calm down and breathe. While it has never been easy to be human, social media and constant reports on all things good and bad has made living in modern times much more complicated. My daughter clapped for the end of this book, she was so happy for the bunny feeling better and having friends.

All you need for this family activity is a mason jar and an assortment of pom poms of various colors and sizes!
